Accessibility Statement
Trendoops targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page describes what we do and how to tell us when we fall short.
Our target
We build Trendoops to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as a requirement of the build rather than a later correction, because a site nobody can read has no value regardless of what it contains.
What we do
Specifically, on every page:
- Semantic HTML with a single, correctly ordered heading structure.
- Keyboard operability for every interactive element, including the theme toggle, search, navigation, tools, and the editor.
- A visible focus indicator that is never removed.
- Text contrast meeting AA at minimum, with metadata text set darker than the base colour specifically so small text clears the bar.
- Colour never used as the sole carrier of meaning. Trend status is a colour plus a word.
- Alternative text on meaningful images and none on decorative ones.
- Charts that expose their data as text and as a table, not only as a drawing.
- Full support for reduced-motion preferences: all animation is suppressed when the visitor asks for it.
- Form labels above their fields, error messages below them, and placeholders never used as labels.
Known limitations
Some third-party content that we quote or link to is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. We link to it as a source; we do not reproduce it.
Tell us when something fails
If you hit a barrier, tell us. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Accessibility reports are treated as defects, not suggestions, and we will tell you what we did about it.
