Affiliate Disclosure
Trendoops is currently free and carries no advertising. This page explains how monetisation works if and when it is introduced.
Current state
Trendoops currently runs no advertisements and contains no affiliate links. The site is funded by its operator at no cost to readers.
How monetisation will work
Advertising and affiliate relationships may be introduced later. When they are:
- Any page containing an affiliate link will say so next to the link itself, not only on this page.
- A commission never affects which topic we choose to cover or how we describe it.
- We will not accept payment to write about a topic, rate a product, or describe an event.
- Clearly labelled commercial placements will never be presented as editorial explanations of a trend.
Editorial independence
Our editorial decisions are made by people and are not for sale. If a commercial relationship ever conflicted with our editorial judgement, the editorial decision would stand and we would disclose the conflict on the page.
